Tsunam Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsunan Town, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture; President: Kengo Suzuki; hereinafter “Tsunam Sake Brewery”) exhibited at the “Nihonshu Festival” held at Osaka Takashimaya from September 3 (Wed) to September 8 (Mon), 2025, providing products at the booth organized by FARM8 Inc. (Headquarters: Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture).
Throughout the event, many visitors enjoyed sake tastings, with numerous customers purchasing bottles on the spot. In particular, the Junmai Daiginjo “GO GRANDCLASS Uonuma Koshihikari Edition,” which won the Platinum Award at the Milano Sake Challenge 2025, was highly praised for offering a lineup tailored to the audience’s preferences.
The event also attracted many international visitors, who appreciated the fragrant aroma and smooth flavor of Tsunam Sake Brewery’s products. Moving forward, the company plans to use Osaka as a hub to further expand communication with overseas markets.
Leveraging the terroir of the snowy Niigata region, Tsunam Sake Brewery continues to craft sake using locally grown rice varieties such as “Gohyakumangoku” and “Uonuma Koshihikari” together with pristine, ultra-soft natural water. About “GO GRANDCLASS Uonuma Koshihikari Edition”
Positioned at the top tier of the GO series, this sake is produced in extremely limited quantities each year. The Uonuma area of Niigata Prefecture, where Tsunam Sake Brewery is located, is famous for its Uonuma Koshihikari rice. While Koshihikari has traditionally been considered difficult to use for premium sake, years of effort have resulted in this exceptional Junmai Daiginjo sake made from 100% Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice.
