Tsunan Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tsunan Town, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture; President: Kengo Suzuki; hereinafter “Tsunan Sake Brewery”) participated as a drink sponsor at the reception party for “Path of Gold,” the first solo exhibition in Japan by artist Kim Rose. The reception was held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at EVERANDART and MEGURO MARC HALL in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
At the reception, Tsunan Sake Brewery served its sake products “Go Sparkling” and “Go Vino,” creating an inviting atmosphere in which guests could enjoy Japanese sake while engaging with the artworks on display.
About Kim Rose
Born in 1994, Kim Rose is an artist based in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles. She began creating art following the loss of her mother at the age of 16, developing a distinctive visual language that transforms grief and loss into expressions of memory, balance, and renewal.
Drawing inspiration from natural materials, gold leaf, and the luminous landscapes of the beaches of Tulum, Rose employs her signature “Top Stone Technique,” which fuses traditional methods with contemporary innovation. Her works embody a quiet dialogue that exists between strength and surrender, holding within them a sense of accumulated time and depth.
Her limited-edition small works frequently sell out within minutes upon release, earning strong support from dedicated collectors. In recent years, she has actively presented her work in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Tokyo, continuing to open new horizons in contemporary abstract art.

Reception Highlights and Visitor Response
During the reception, “Go Sparkling” and “Go Vino” were served in a way that gently accompanied guests’ time spent engaging with the artworks. Many visitors were seen appreciating the exhibition with a glass in hand, as the light, refreshing character of the sake blended seamlessly with the calm and contemplative atmosphere of the space.
DJ Kamoshitaro also joined the event, engaging with the artist and attendees and contributing to a lively exchange. Guests shared positive feedback such as, “The combination of art and Japanese sake feels refreshing,” and “The light, elegant taste pairs beautifully with viewing the artworks.”

Shared Philosophy Between Kim Rose’s Art and Tsunan Sake Brewing

Kim Rose’s works are characterized by themes such as layers of memory, the volume of time, and quietly expanding depth, expressed through natural textures and delicate layering. Her art invites viewers into a moment of introspective dialogue, leaving a lasting and resonant aftertaste.
Similarly, Tsunan Sake Brewery’s sake-making is rooted in the natural environment of Tsunan — one of Japan’s heaviest snowfall regions. Using pristine snowmelt water and locally grown sake rice, the brewery carefully layers fermentation and maturation over time to create depth and lingering finish in its sake.
What both share is a philosophy of beauty and depth born from working in harmony with nature and allowing time to accumulate. At this reception, the artworks and the sake resonated with one another, offering visitors a uniquely memorable experience where these shared values converged.
