On Monday, December 4, 2023, Kengo Suzuki, the newly appointed Representative Director of Tsunan Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (located in Tsunan Town, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture), visited Masahiro Ishibashi, the Executive Director of JA Tsunanmachi, to report on the company’s new management structure.
Tsunan Sake Brewery held its 70th Shareholders’ Meeting on Sunday, December 3, 2023, where Kengo Suzuki was officially appointed as the Representative Director. During his visit, Suzuki reported on his new appointment and discussed business activities in Tsunanmachi.
Tsunan Sake Brewery has a deep interest in the fermentation industry in Tsunanmachi, particularly in the production process of organic fertilizer and the actual state of mushroom production. In addition, Tsunanmachi is a producer of fermented compost made from used mushroom beds and cattle manure. The presence of dried mushroom beds is important for moisture control during organic fertilizer production. The importance of the mushroom industry in the region was highlighted.
Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the branding of sake and snow carrots. For limited-scale productions to be profitable, branding is considered essential. The possibility of using chemical analysis to objectively demonstrate unique qualities was also a topic of discussion.
